AI Engineer – FDE, Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create innovative GenAI solutions by utilizing the latest methodologies from Databricks AI research to address customer challenges.

• Take ownership of the production deployment of both consumer-oriented and internal GenAI applications.

• Act as a reliable technical consultant for clients across various sectors.

• Speak at events such as the Data + AI Summit, establishing yourself as a recognized thought leader both internally and externally.

• Work collaboratively across teams, including product and engineering, to impact priorities and define the product roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, and more, utilizing tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy.

• Proficient in deploying production-level GenAI applications, focusing on evaluation and optimization processes.

• Several years of practical experience in industry data science, employing common machine learning and data science tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.

• Background in creating production-ready machine learning deployments on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research) or equivalent practical experience.

• Capability to communicate and/or educate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

• Enthusiasm for teamwork, continuous learning, and delivering business value through AI technologies.

• [Preferred] Familiarity with the Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark™ for handling large-scale distributed datasets.

• Willingness to travel once every 4-8 weeks to meet with clients (as required).
