AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions such as custom GPTs, copilots, and agentic workflows utilizing enterprise LLM platforms and APIs.

• Construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search functionalities, and secure data connectors.

• Collaborate with AI Business Partners and representatives from various departments to convert functional requirements into technical solutions.

• Convert business-defined context into structured prompts and system instructions.

• Enhance and optimize context injection strategies to boost solution reliability and precision.

• Rapidly prototype, iterate based on user feedback, and produce production-ready AI solutions with suitable guardrails.

• Create reusable prompts, templates, automations, and components to expedite future AI solution development.

• Integrate AI tools with Verathon systems while adhering to architecture, security, and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with the AI Solutions Architect to assess and adopt new AI tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data science, or a related discipline.

• 3–7 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, data engineering, or applied AI development.

• Practical experience with Python, REST APIs, and contemporary AI/LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex).

• Experience in configuring and deploying AI tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, Claude, or other similar enterprise AI platforms.

• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and best practices in prompt design.

• Familiarity with integration patterns for enterprise systems and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).

• Proven ability to swiftly experiment, prototype, and iterate AI solutions based on business input.

• Strong collaboration abilities and comfort in working closely with both business and technical stakeholders.
