AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement production AI systems utilizing advanced models, retrieval methods, tools, agents, and structured workflows.

• Create and optimize LLM pipelines, encompassing prompting, context engineering, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluations.

• Construct backend services, APIs, data flows, and integrations that support AI product functionalities.

• Engage in real-time voice and multimodal AI system projects.

• Design evaluation frameworks that detect failures, regressions, and opportunities to enhance model performance.

• Explore novel models and techniques to assess their applicability in a production environment.

• Troubleshoot issues across models, application code, data, and infrastructure.

• Clearly articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, outcomes, and failures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of robust software or AI engineering experience.

• Proficient in Python and possess strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Proven experience in deploying LLM-powered or machine learning systems in production environments.

• In-depth understanding of retrieval methods, embeddings, tool invocation, agents, and evaluations.

• Ability to analyze latency, reliability, observability, cost, and failure modes effectively.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to clarify ambiguous problems, structure them effectively, and drive them to completion.

• High level of initiative and a commitment to building and delivering solutions.

• Experience with speech, voice AI, or real-time systems.

• Familiarity with AWS and production cloud infrastructure.

• Background in developing developer platforms or reusable AI infrastructure.

• Experience collaborating directly with enterprise clients or in regulated sectors.
