This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• As a member of our Data & AI team, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders in a remote-first organization spanning Asia and Europe. Your main responsibility will be to create and implement AI features that address real-world challenges, including LLM-based solutions, RAG pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows, which will be integrated into our products and internal systems.
• Design and implement LLM-based solutions and RAG architectures to tackle genuine business issues.
• Participate in the complete lifecycle of AI features: from problem identification and data preparation to modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Utilize existing data pipelines for tasks such as preprocessing, feature extraction, and model inference.
• Seamlessly integrate AI solutions into the company’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed AI capabilities into both products and internal tools.
• Employ AI coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot) as a standard part of your development process.
• Assist in pinpointing opportunities where AI can deliver tangible value to business operations and products.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Software Development role, with a minimum of 1 year in AI/ML engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying LLM-based or RAG solutions within a production environment.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, including practical experience with async patterns and FastAPI.
• Proven hands-on experience utilizing AI coding tools in a production engineering setting.
• Knowledge of how AI solutions are integrated into cloud-based systems, preferably AWS.
• Expertise in database management, data wrangling, and working with distributed systems.
• A solid foundation in algorithm design, statistics, and data science.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction in a remote setting, including clear written communication and reliable asynchronous collaboration.
