AI Engineer

Posted Jun 21

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI-driven features for our B2B portal, internal tools, and products aimed at merchants — encompassing LLM integrations, AI agents, and smart automations.

• Convert vague business challenges into clearly defined AI solutions, ranging from prompt engineering and RAG pipelines to complete agentic workflows.

• Construct, assess, and refine AI systems by employing a thorough experiment-driven methodology — monitoring quality, latency, and cost trade-offs.

• Collaborate extensively with product, operations, and engineering teams to pinpoint valuable AI opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Design internal AI tools and skill frameworks that enable non-technical teams to utilize AI in their regular workflows.

• Integrate with external AI APIs (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) and MCP-based tools while ensuring compliance with security and reliability standards.

• Maintain oversight over deployed AI systems — watching for regressions, prompt drift, and declines in model performance.

• Operate independently in a remote setting, exhibiting a robust sense of ownership and the capability to deliver results with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 1–2 years dedicated to developing production AI or ML systems.

• Practical experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, etc.) and best practices in prompt engineering.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript; adept at constructing both backend services and lightweight frontend interfaces.

• Experience in building RAG pipelines, embedding workflows, or agentic systems utilizing frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.

• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, etc.) and semantic search methodologies.

• Experience working collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders to define and execute AI projects.

• Demonstrated ability to assess AI output quality and develop evaluation/testing frameworks for LLM-based systems.

• Background in logistics, supply chain, or B2B SaaS is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), AI agent orchestration, or multi-step tool-use workflows is a plus.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

• Flexible working hours and remote work options.

• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.

• Access to cutting-edge technology and tools.

• Collaborative and inclusive company culture.
