This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Develop and sustain pipelines powered by LLM for processing and automating customer requests.
• Design and execute data ingestion, preprocessing, and enrichment pipelines for unstructured data sources such as emails, PDFs, images, and documents.
• Create classification, routing, and decision workflows tailored for customer inquiries.
• Utilize prompt engineering best practices to consistently enhance model performance and output quality.
• Establish structured outputs and Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows to guarantee reliability and business integration.
• Ensure readiness for production through thorough testing, CI/CD, containerization, and ongoing monitoring.
• Contribute to the design of AI architecture, scalability, and engineering standards.
• Observe, assess, and optimize AI systems by employing LLM observability tools and performance metrics.
• Work in close collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to embed AI solutions within existing workflows and processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong background in developing production-grade Python applications.
• Demonstrated experience in constructing and maintaining LLM-based solutions and intelligent workflows.
• Familiarity with processing pipelines for unstructured data.
• Capability to work independently within multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Extensive expertise in: Python; FastAPI; Async programming patterns; REST APIs; and PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with OpenAI SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Significant experience in Prompt Engineering, LLM evaluation, structured outputs, and Human-in-the-Loop workflows.
• Strong Data Engineering foundation, including data pipelines, ingestion, preprocessing, and working with unstructured datasets.
• Experience with: Docker; CI/CD pipelines; testing methodologies; and production deployments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar.
