• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize valuable opportunities for AI and automation.
• Design, develop, and support AI and automation systems that deliver measurable business results—from initial scoping to production deployment.
• Create, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and the foundational AI platform layer.
• Develop data pipelines and AI model context protocols, utilizing tools such as MCP, LangChain, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Ensure the AI platform services maintain high availability, performance, and security.
• Contribute to platform expansion by authoring SDKs, APIs, and comprehensive documentation for developers.
• Simplify complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders while ensuring business goals remain a priority.
• Stay updated with rapidly changing AI models, frameworks, and research, and share that knowledge with the team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field—or equivalent proven experience demonstrated through portfolio work, open-source contributions, or professional practice.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Science, with significant hands-on experience in building and deploying AI or LLM-powered systems.
• Demonstrated ability to transition AI models from notebooks to live, scalable, monitored production systems.
• Proficient in the entire generative AI stack—LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search—and skilled in applying these to real business challenges.
• Strong SQL proficiency, experience with data warehousing, and capable of creating clean, reliable pipelines that others can trust.
• Write production-ready code. Concepts like OOP, clean architecture, and testable systems are second nature to you.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Gumloop, n8n, or similar) and discern when to use them versus when to create custom solutions.
• Ability to link technical decisions to business outcomes.
• Equally at ease in stakeholder meetings as in code reviews.
• Advocate for responsible and transparent AI practices, integrating this perspective into all your work.
• Flourish in a remote-first work environment, self-directed and genuinely enjoy cross-functional collaboration. Curiosity is your default mindset.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Full-Stack development with React/TypeScript/Next.js frontends and Python/FastAPI or Node.js backends—and comfortable managing data using Postgres or Redis.
• Preferable: A solid foundation in statistics, probability, and experimental design.
• Work remotely with a company-provided MacBook and internet stipend.
• Enjoy 21 days of flexible PTO, your birthday, and holidays (with flexible substitution options).
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision group health insurance, along with flexible spending accounts and more.
• 401k matching, a professional development budget, robust wellness programs, pet insurance, and numerous additional perks and benefits.
