AI Engineer / AI Developer – SME Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Creation of AI prototypes, MVPs, and fully operational applications.

• Development of RAG systems, chatbot, and assistant solutions leveraging company data.

• Integration of AI models, APIs, data sources, document storage, and vector databases.

• Design of automations and AI workflows using tools like Python, APIs, n8n, Make, or agent frameworks.

• Technical assessment of use cases concerning feasibility, effort, data needs, security, and operations.

• Close collaboration with consultants, domain experts, and client teams.

• Documentation of architecture, assumptions, limitations, risks, and operational requirements.

• Participation in the development of reusable components, templates, and technical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience, technical acumen, and a passion for delivering effective AI solutions in SMEs.

• Background in software development, preferably with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.

• Practical experience with LLMs, AI APIs, or frameworks such as OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, Ollama, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, document processing, and prompt/system design.

• Experience in working with APIs, data pipelines, automation, or system integration.

• Basic knowledge of cloud services, hosting, deployment, Docker, or CI/CD practices.

• Interest in agentic workflows, AI automation, and low-code/no-code tools.

• Capability to clearly explain technical subjects and document them comprehensively.

• Understanding of data protection, security, governance, and the responsible use of AI.

• Proficient in German and conversationally skilled in English.
