This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Capture or gather natural, spontaneous speech in alignment with project guidelines.

• Engage in or record speech from sanctioned real-world contexts, such as workplace dialogues or informal one-on-one conversations.

• Complete tasks involving individual or two-person conversational speech, or take part in voice or voice-text interactions with AI or machine-based systems.

• Annotate the gathered speech data according to the provided directives.

• Supply necessary information and metadata related to each recording.

• Assist in the assessment and advancement of speech recognition and conversational AI technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Tswana.

• Genuine pronunciation and deep familiarity with the target language through daily use.

• Advanced English skills to comprehend written instructions.

• Should not emulate dialects or accents that do not belong to them.

• Experience in speech recording or data annotation projects is beneficial, but not mandatory.

• Excellent attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.

• Capacity to adhere to detailed project and recording guidelines.

• A quiet room or recording environment with minimal ambient noise.

• Computer microphone or headset equipped with a microphone.

• Stable internet connection.
