AI Architect – Public Trust Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement AI/ML architectures that support FEMA’s cloud, analytics, and mission systems.

• Integrate AI services seamlessly with FEMA’s enterprise architecture and data platforms.

• Architect AI/ML pipelines, MLOps processes, and deploy models in a cloud environment.

• Assess AI platforms including AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, and GCP Vertex.

• Lead initiatives in responsible AI, model governance, and practices for bias and risk mitigation.

• Assist in the development of use cases, prototyping, and conducting technical evaluations.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Project Managers, and Cloud Architects to incorporate AI capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with similar responsibilities.

• A solid background in ML engineering and distributed systems.

• Proficient in Python, ML frameworks, and cloud-based ML services.

• Knowledge of federal data privacy and security regulations.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• An active Public Trust clearance, or the capability to obtain one.

• Priority will be given to candidates with FEMA Public Trust Clearance or DHS Public Trust obtained in the past three years.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Certifications in Analytics or Cloud AI/ML are preferred.
