AI Architect – AWS, Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Proactive Agentic AI Development: You will independently create Proofs of Concept (PoCs) without depending on a development team for the initial setup. This entails designing and coding AI Agents utilizing AWS Bedrock and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph, while implementing reasoning, planning, and memory modules.

• AWS Cloud Architecture with a PaaS Emphasis: You will design scalable infrastructures using AWS PaaS services like Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions. Your role will involve selecting and optimizing Foundation Models through Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker based on criteria like cost, latency, and performance.

• Client Engagement & Solution Design: You will engage in AI Discovery initiatives to identify high-value opportunities within client organizations. Your task will be to convert business requirements into technical architectures that align with our outcome-focused methodology.

• Technical Leadership & Team Development: You will oversee technical interviews, selection, and onboarding processes for new hires within the AI Labb workstream. Additionally, you will establish technical standards and coding guidelines for our expanding AI/ML team.

• Multi-Cloud Integration: You will incorporate AI services into existing enterprise workflows and data pipelines. Maintaining operational knowledge of Azure and GCP will be essential to support client-specific multi-cloud needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• AWS Certification: A valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect (either Associate or Professional) is required.

• Proficient Coding Skills: Strong expertise in Python is essential. You should be comfortable writing production-level code, rather than merely managing configurations or reviewing pull requests.

• Cloud Architecture Background: A solid foundation in traditional Cloud Architecture concepts including networking, IAM, and serverless patterns is necessary. Experience in building cloud infrastructures prior to transitioning into AI is expected.

• Familiarity with AI Stack: Proven experience with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and Vector Databases such as Pinecone or OpenSearch is required.

• Experience with Agents: A demonstrated capability to develop Agents that leverage tools and function calling is essential. We are not seeking individuals who have only created simple chatbots.

• Consulting Mindset: The ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders and translate business challenges into technical solutions is critical.
