This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The **AI Applications Engineer** is responsible for designing, constructing, and delivering production-quality **agentic AI solutions** on the Seeq platform, aimed at expediting time-to-value for process manufacturers across various sectors, including O&G, Chemicals, Pharma, Power, Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage, Semiconductor, and related industries.
• This position merges the customer-facing solution engineering tasks typical of an Applications Engineer with advanced software engineering skills, focusing on the development, extension, and operationalization of **custom AI agents that interact with Agent Q**, Seeq’s sophisticated agentic AI Analyst, as well as capabilities like **Agent Builder**, **Document Access**, and **Agent Extensibility**.
• The AI Applications Engineer oversees complete **Seeq Intelligence implementations**, guiding the process from use case identification and solution architecture to Python-based agent and Skill development, along with enablement and lifecycle management.
• Common solution patterns encompass anomaly-to-action workflows that integrate with Industrial Software technologies (such as historian, CMMS, APM, etc.), Microsoft Copilot integrations, AI-generated operational reporting, and internal customer documentation and SME knowledge.
• Develop scalable AI agents that enhance and orchestrate **Agent Q** for repeatable, multi-step industrial workflows, including AI-generated operational reports, batch deviation analysis, root cause investigations, and condition-monitor-driven inquiries.
• Create custom AI agents beyond the Seeq environment to connect applications within the broader industrial technology ecosystem with Agent Q and Seeq’s AI platform.
• Design and implement **Skills** and **Code Tools** using Python (Seeq Data Lab, SPy library) that provide agents with reliable and governed access to enterprise systems, including CMMS, historians, document stores, and customer-developed AI services.
• Construct solution components (accelerators, templates, calculators, KPIs, dashboards, condition monitors, Vantage Rooms) within **Seeq Workbench**, **Organizer**, **Vantage**, and **Data Lab** that agents can utilize and analyze.
• Package agentic solutions for reuse, including documented prompts/instructions, journals, sample datasets, validation plans, and success criteria prepared for partner and customer delivery.
• Configure **Agent Extensibility** to integrate Seeq Intelligence into customer ecosystems (CMMS, integrity tools, MES, Power BI/Teams, Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Write production-grade **Python** for agent Skills, Data Lab notebooks, and scheduled/event-driven workflows while employing modern software engineering practices (version control, code review, testing, CI/CD where applicable).
• Author and utilize **REST/HTTPS APIs** for third-party AI agents and enterprise systems; manage authentication methods (SSO, delegated permissions, SAS URIs) for regulated agent access.
• Link solutions to enterprise data ecosystems and downstream tools (e.g., OPC UA/OPC HDA; AVEVA PI/PI AF; SQL databases, data lakes/warehouses; Databricks; Azure ML; AWS Lambda; Power BI/Tableau; Microsoft 365 / SharePoint) while adhering to security, scalability, and performance best practices.
• Utilize **prompt engineering, agent instruction design, and evaluation** techniques to ensure agent behavior is consistent, reliable, and reproducible on an industrial scale.
• Collaborate with the Software Team, Industry Principals, Product Management, and Revenue Teams to align Intelligence solutions with the roadmap and address capability gaps.
• Assist Product Marketing, Solution Consulting, and Sales with credible Intelligence demonstrations, narratives, and GTM assets; support targeted pre-sales engagements where expertise in agentic solutions is essential.
• Develop enablement kits (deployment guides, reference architectures, agent design playbooks, sample Skills/notebooks) and mentor Seeq partners and customer champions to promote global agentic delivery.
• Guide customer subject matter experts in encoding their expert reasoning into agent instructions, journals, and custom agent workflows to ensure institutional knowledge is shareable and operational.
• Collect field feedback, track agent adoption and quality, and refine solution reliability, trustworthiness, and learnability; contribute reusable agent patterns to Seeq’s solution library and training materials.
• 12-week paid Seeq family leave
• Unlimited PTO
• Internet and mobile phone reimbursements
• Medical benefits
• Group term life insurance
• Short-term and long-term disability insurance pre-tax benefits
