AI Applications Development Presales Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive AI and application architectures that tackle client business challenges utilizing Microsoft's AI and developer platform stack.

• Create solutions by leveraging Azure OpenAI, Microsoft AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, and Microsoft Agent Framework.

• Craft custom application solutions utilizing .NET/C#, Python (FastAPI), Azure PaaS services, and pertinent APIs.

• Integrate Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) into solution designs to facilitate workflow automation and business intelligence as needed.

• Employ Responsible AI principles in every aspect of solution design.

• Accurately estimate the size and scope of engagements using rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) estimation and structured discovery frameworks.

• Serve as a senior technical advisor to sales leadership, account teams, and client stakeholders throughout all phases of the sales cycle.

• Facilitate discovery workshops, current-state assessments, and solution ideation sessions to identify the correct problem before proposing a solution.

• Keep a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the Microsoft AI and developer ecosystem.

• Counsel clients on the adoption of responsible AI, governance frameworks, and readiness for production AI workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 7 years of experience in software/application architecture, cloud solutions engineering, or technical consulting.

• More than 3 years in a presales, solution architecture, or customer-facing advisory position.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering AI-driven solutions — such as LLM-based applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents, or Copilot integrations — in enterprise environments.

• Practical experience in custom application development using .NET/C# and/or Python, deployed on Azure PaaS or containerized infrastructure.

• Established ability to lead discovery workshops, prepare proposals, estimate engagements, and deliver presentations at the executive level.

• History of successfully winning and advancing deals in a consultative, technical presales role.

• Required Certifications (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire): Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)

• GitHub Foundations or GitHub Copilot certification
