Agronomist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Delivering a comprehensive and integrated service in all areas of Crop Production for our clients, which encompasses advice on Crop Nutrition, Crop Protection, and guidance regarding current agricultural regulations.

• Gaining insights into the 'end markets' for agricultural outputs and providing customers with recommendations on optimal management strategies to maximize crop potential and meet the volume and quality expectations of these markets.

• Collaborating with support departments to place and monitor orders, ensuring customers receive the services they have requested.

• Developing a thorough understanding of Frontier’s products and services to achieve the best commercial, quality, and relational outcomes for both customers and the company.

• Conducting regular crop walks to foster strong relationships with customers and gain insight into their ongoing requirements.

• Establishing robust connections with the Trials teams and Technical Support Team, contributing to initiatives and enhancing personal product and customer knowledge.

• Cultivating relationships with seasoned commercial managers to enhance commercial acumen alongside technical expertise.

• Collaborating with colleagues to identify new customers and nurture existing ones, while supporting a cooperative approach across Frontier teams, including backing cross-departmental initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in agriculture, with a solid understanding of the sector.

• BASIS qualified, and preferably (though not required) FACTS qualified.

• The drive and resilience to cultivate new business opportunities and excel in a sales position.

• Strong commercial awareness with a history of successful interactions with farmers.

• Capable of establishing exceptional professional relationships with both customers and colleagues.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High initiative with robust planning and organizational abilities.

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
