Agriculture Program Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the strategy for the Agriculture program

• Foster partnerships with state and national governments

• Oversee relationships with delivery partners

• Design and supervise the scaling of pilot programs

• Facilitate communication among stakeholders

• Build and manage the agriculture team

• Promote learning and ensure quality

• Work effectively in uncertain environments

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in international development

• Strong preference for direct experience in agriculture, weather forecasting, or rural last-mile delivery

• Proven success in leading agricultural programs from conception to large-scale implementation

• Experience in managing coalitions with multiple stakeholders, including governments and research organizations

• High emotional intelligence and ability to influence diverse partners

• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and able to iterate quickly

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a frequent basis (~20-40%)
