Agent Forward Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and deploy agentic AI systems that facilitate the discovery, evaluation, and migration of legacy applications.

• Design smart workflows for transforming monolithic applications into microservices or serverless architectures.

• Connect AI agents with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) to manage infrastructure provisioning, data migration, and validation processes.

• Develop reasoning engines that optimize migration routes considering cost, performance, and compliance factors.

• Work alongside architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to ensure AI-driven modernization aligns with enterprise objectives.

• Focus on creating and integrating tailored AI agents to address specific, tactical challenges faced by customers.

• Utilize LLMs, graph reasoning, and planning techniques to enhance decision-making in migration contexts.

• Track agent performance, retrain models, and consistently enhance autonomy and reliability.

• Assess the effectiveness of prototype agents by understanding both legacy and contemporary application development languages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related discipline.

• Experience in AI engineering, particularly focusing on agentic systems or autonomous workflows.

• Over 10 years of experience in application development.

• In-depth knowledge of application migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire).

• Proven experience in developing and utilizing AI for software development.

• Expertise in cloud-native development and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).

• Experience in creating autonomous agents using frameworks such as Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel, or custom planners.

• Familiarity with LLMs, reinforcement learning, or multi-agent systems.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python, Java, or other contemporary languages.
