Agency Instructor I – Water Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the training of various specialized skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within a designated program.

• Apply knowledge of adult learning theories and diverse learning styles to enhance learner success.

• Conduct online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or provide technical assistance in a specialty area.

• Employ a variety of media to deliver course content effectively.

• Assist in the development of new curriculum content or the updating of existing materials as needed.

• Maintain technical proficiency and skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Three years of experience related to the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.

• One year of experience in adult training, which may include on-the-job instruction.

• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

• Texas Class "B" Water license required.

• Texas Class "B" Wastewater license or Wastewater Collection II or III certification is necessary.

• Meet TCEQ Sponsor Requirements with either 60 hours of classroom instructional experience or completion of approved instructor training courses.

• Equivalency: An Associate’s degree with five years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma/GED with seven years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems will be considered.
