
Affiliate Marketing Manager – E-commerce, Performance-Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take full ownership of the affiliate marketing channel for designated e-commerce clients, overseeing strategy, implementation, execution, and optimization.
• Develop or enhance the client's affiliate program framework, including commission structures, tier levels, bonus initiatives, and partner segmentation based on performance and profitability.
• Choose, set up, and manage affiliate platforms/networks (such as Impact, PartnerStack, Refersion, ShareASale, Awin, Shopify apps) tailored to the client’s technology stack.
• Actively recruit new affiliates: content websites, influencers, deal platforms, comparison sites, niche blogs, and creators on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok that align with the brand.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with top affiliates through consistent communication, performance evaluations, and collaborative campaign planning.
• Develop clear affiliate resources and guidelines, including tracking links, landing page recommendations, product positioning suggestions, promotional calendars, and simple “plug-and-play” promotional kits.
• Work in conjunction with our SEO and content team to ensure affiliate content is consistent with SEO strategies (e.g., review pages, comparison articles, listicles) and adheres to brand guidelines.
• Regularly monitor performance on a daily and weekly basis: EPC, ROAS, new customer acquisition, LTV indicators, and margins—not solely clicks and impressions.
• Conduct tests on various commission structures, creatives, landing pages, and funnels to determine the most profitable combinations for each client.
• Provide transparent reports to clients and internally—detailing what actions were taken, the rationale behind them, and their impact on revenue and profits, in a clear and honest manner (no black box).
• Assist in developing and refining internal playbooks, checklists, and “Affiliate Growth Frameworks” to ensure each new client benefits from prior insights.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on affiliate marketing experience, preferably in e-commerce or DTC sectors.
• Demonstrated success in scaling affiliate programs with tangible revenue and profit impacts (you should be able to provide examples, even if anonymized).
• Familiarity with affiliate networks/platforms (e.g., Impact, Awin, PartnerStack, CJ, Refersion, GoAffPro, etc.).
• Strong grasp of performance marketing metrics: EPC, CPA, ROAS, contribution margin, LTV, and payback period.
• Proficient with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms along with basic tracking setups (UTMs, pixel-based tracking, coupon-based tracking, post-purchase attribution, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills – capable of interpreting data from GA4/platform dashboards and translating it into actionable decisions and clear next steps.
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English for effective communication with affiliates and clients. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Fully remote position – work from the location that allows you to be most productive.
• High level of ownership: you will be the primary leader of the affiliate channel for reputable brands, not just in a “support” role.
• Collaborate with significant e-commerce brands (primarily generating 6–8 figures in monthly revenue) where performance is critical and budgets are substantial.
