This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver online asynchronous courses as designated by the MA sMHM Program Chair.
• Participate in regular online program meetings convened by the Chair for teaching support and inquiries.
• Offer students access to optional, periodic online synchronous course meetings.
• Create a syllabus and instruct courses in alignment with the program's goals and specific curriculum objectives.
• Develop and sustain the online course shells in Canvas to ensure student accessibility.
• Foster a learning environment that promotes student success.
• Hold virtual office hours for each class, mentoring and guiding students beyond the classroom setting.
• Ensure prompt management and responses to electronic communications from students, administrators, and other school officials.
• Facilitate online forum discussions and cultivate peer support within relevant online discussions and coursework.
• Collaborate with the Program Chair and PMAA (Program Manager/Academic Advisor) to address any student issues.
• Maintain and submit accurate and timely reports regarding student grades and progress.
• Report final grades in accordance with the academic calendar.
• Enforce student conduct policies as specified in the student handbook.
• Keep accurate daily electronic time records as relevant to this role.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Program Chair, pertinent to the specific course.
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in disciplines related to Mental Health.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within the seminary community.
• Support the objectives and goals of the MA Mental Health and Ministry degree program.
• Awareness and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender, and denominational diversity.
• Must be willing to sign the Fuller Statement of Faith and adhere to community standards.
• Prior experience with online teaching is required.
• Affiliate faculty should not exceed 39 hours of work per week or 8 hours of work per day.
• Must have your own laptop for work purposes.
• Proficient and confident in using lecture recording systems and conducting online meetings via Zoom.
• Fully remote work within the United States is contingent upon payroll state approval by Fuller Theological Seminary.
