This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing and quality processes by conducting supplier audits in accordance with various standards based on the audit type.
• Lead and/or assist in MRB activities to ensure effective management of non-conforming materials and verify that appropriate corrective actions are executed.
• Conduct on-site visits to suppliers for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions regarding supplier quality challenges.
• Advocate for and facilitate the adoption of customer preferred methodologies for continuous improvement, including Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Manage the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within designated projects and suppliers.
• Assist suppliers in assessing their current manufacturing or business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing solutions to enhance supplier performance using various problem-solving strategies.
• Offer technical support and guidance to suppliers to address process and product quality issues and enhance both internal and outgoing quality performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive and precise reports on supplier performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide weekly and monthly updates on supplier progress to align with customer expectations.
• Undertake special projects as necessary.
• Build and sustain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders to ensure prompt and effective responses to anomalies.
• A minimum of 8 years of practical experience as a Quality Engineer within an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
• 5-8 years of experience with FAI and familiarity with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level.
• In-depth knowledge of various Engineering Processes, Standard Drawing Conventions, Interpretation of Drawings, Specifications, and GD&T.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, particularly in Production, Quality, and Logistics.
• Understanding of, or hands-on experience with, FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations is preferred.
• Proven experience in leading customer audits.
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Proficient in project management, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and lead other team members.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field, such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, etc.
• ASQ or equivalent professional certifications such as CQE, CQT, CQA, CMQ, CSQP, etc.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
