Aerospace Simulation Engineer – Avionics Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and evaluate **component models** for avionics system simulations.

• Enhance and maintain the overall system simulation environment.

• Contribute to the codebase for model assessment, analysis, and report generation.

• Conduct structured software testing on both personal and colleagues’ implementations.

• Ensure clean code structure, comprehensive documentation, and traceability.

• Collaborate with technical specialists on model derivation, validation, and updates.

• Execute **system identification** for both component and system-level models using test data.

• Assist teams utilizing models for flight control software verification and concept design studies.

• Challenge and enhance technical concepts, tools, methods, and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a comparable field.

• Over 5 years of experience in the space or aerospace sector.

• Proficient in simulating **complex space or aerospace avionics systems**.

• Experience in deriving, implementing, testing, or validating simulation models.

• Familiarity with software testing, code structure, and technical documentation.

• Experience utilizing test data for model validation or system identification.

• Strong knowledge of the **SimTG Modeling Framework is a significant advantage**.
