Aeroderivative Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create and model mechanical components in 3D for aeroderivative turbines (such as compressors, combustors, and cooling systems).

• Conduct structural and thermal analyses (FEM, CFD) to confirm the design's strength and dependability.

• Develop technical specifications, manufacturing illustrations, and design documentation.

• Work alongside manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to facilitate product industrialization.

• Offer technical assistance during assembly, testing, and commissioning stages.

• Ensure adherence to international standards (ASME, API, ISO) and implement optimal design practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Energy Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design for turbomachinery or components subjected to high temperatures and pressures.

• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., NX, Creo, CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Fluent).

• Familiarity with high-performance materials (superalloys, ceramics, thermal coatings).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to collaborate within cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
