Advisor – Utility Strategy, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide design guidance: shape the structure and attributes of our collateral product to ensure it meets utility credit standards and practical needs.

• Facilitate utility engagement: pinpoint the appropriate stakeholders and decision-makers within utilities and advise on the best strategies to approach them.

• Conduct acceptance stress-tests: foresee potential objections, clarify what utilities prioritize, and assist in refining our messaging to enhance credibility.

• Utilize your network: connect us with pertinent contacts in utilities and industry associations to expedite education and adoption.

• Act as a sounding board: offer continuous insights on how utilities view credit risk, collateral, and counterparties within current power markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience: you have served as a treasurer, CFO, or senior credit/risk executive at a major electric utility, responsible for managing credit exposure to counterparties and overseeing collateral instruments.

• Extensive network: you possess strong relationships within the utility sector, particularly with credit, treasury, and risk decision-makers.

• Utility perspective: you understand how utilities approach credit risk, liquidity, and collateral — both through formal policies and informal influences on internal committees.

• Renewable experience: preferred if you have managed or overseen a portfolio of renewable PPAs or owned renewable generation assets, providing you with direct insight into clean energy credit dynamics.

• Practical and strategic: you can convert your expertise into actionable recommendations that ensure our product is not only conceptually viable but also operationally feasible for utilities.

• Trusted authority: you bring the credibility of a career in utility leadership and can assist us in navigating discussions at the highest levels.
