📋 Description

• Define and continually enhance Rho’s framework for patient recruitment strategies, standards, tools, and decision-making models utilized across all clinical programs, collaborating closely with the Feasibility leadership to develop a long-term capability roadmap.

• Utilize sponsor-provided resources to create recruitment strategies at the trial, country, and site levels, taking into account protocol design, feasibility strategy, targeted patient population, competitive landscape, and operational considerations.

• Convert feasibility insights into pragmatic recruitment plans, which include tactical mix recommendations such as digital, community-based, and site support initiatives.

• Act as the strategic recruitment lead for selected trials during the study start-up and enrollment phases, providing guidance on risk mitigation and optimization opportunities, while also facilitating strategic pivots when necessary.

• Ensure that recruitment strategies are driven by data, scalable, and aligned with Rho’s operational framework.

• Provide advice to Rho’s Clinical Management team regarding site- and study-level recruitment plans, equipping team members with essential insights and site-specific messaging to facilitate the execution of these plans.

• Create customized recruitment approaches that align with Rho’s Core 4 therapeutic areas: neuroscience (psychiatry and neurology), respiratory, pain (acute and chronic), and immunology (including dermatology).

• Collaborate with Business Development, Feasibility, and Clinical Management teams to assist with RFPs and proposal development, which includes:

• Writing recruitment approach narratives for Rho proposals.

• Enhancing and complementing feasibility benchmarks by integrating the impact of recruitment strategies into enrollment assumptions and timelines.

• Offering advice on securing vendor bids, aligning recruitment strategies with vendor representatives, and providing cost considerations for recruitment services.

• Contributing to sponsor-facing discussions by clearly articulating defensible recruitment strategies based on evidence and experience.

• Supporting bid defense meetings as a subject matter expert in patient recruitment strategy, when necessary.

• Leading and facilitating the prioritization, selection, and onboarding of vendors for external recruitment services (such as digital campaigns, physical materials, outreach vendors, and site-level recruitment tools and technology).

• Establishing vendor performance expectations, success metrics, and governance models in collaboration with study teams.

• Monitoring vendor performance through recruitment KPIs and analytics, escalating risks, and recommending corrective actions as needed.

• Serving as a strategic liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment with study objectives and recruitment budgets.

• Developing and maintaining a library of vendor experiences and performance profiles based on Rho studies and core therapeutic areas.

• Analyzing and interpreting recruitment data and performance analytics, including enrollment trends and site-level indicators.

• Utilizing historical and real-time recruitment data in collaboration with Rho study teams and sponsors to:

• Optimize the initially scoped study recruitment strategy.

• Identify enrollment risks.

• Provide recommendations for adjustments in the recruitment strategy to maximize recruitment expenditure.

• Inform future feasibility and proposal strategies.

• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders and sponsors.

• Serve as the recruitment subject matter expert for necessary systems and technology integrations to effectively leverage recruitment metrics.

• Foster cross-functional alignment on recruitment strategy direction, closely collaborating with Feasibility, Study Start-Up, Clinical Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure cohesive recruitment planning.

• Drive the development of standardized recruitment frameworks, tools, procedural documents, and best practices for this new unit.

• Act as an internal thought leader on patient recruitment innovations, trends, and emerging methodologies.

• Function as a trusted strategic advisor to sponsors, providing clear guidance on recruitment feasibility, risks, and trade-offs related to tiered approaches to recruitment spending.

• Serve as the primary escalation point and strategic advisor for complex, high-risk recruitment challenges across the organization.

• Ensure alignment between recruitment strategy, business development, and operational execution at the organizational level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical or life science-related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in establishing or governing recruitment strategy frameworks at either a functional or organizational level.

• A solid track record in developing recruitment strategies as a critical success factor across proposal development, feasibility, and study execution, rather than treating it as a standalone operational function.

• Experience in collaborating with feasibility, study start-up, and/or clinical operations functions to create protocol-specific recruitment strategies.

• Hands-on involvement in supporting RFPs and proposal development concerning recruitment strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in authoring and executing trial-, country-, and site-level recruitment plans.

• Expertise in utilizing an understanding of patient burden, access barriers, and equity considerations to influence recruitment strategy decisions.

• Familiarity with digital recruitment channels and emerging patient engagement technologies, including AI-enabled targeting, prescreening, and analytics tools used to inform recruitment strategy and vendor selection.

• Strong experience in managing, interpreting, and utilizing patient recruitment data and metrics to inform future strategies.

• Established history of prospecting, prioritizing, and negotiating pricing structures with recruitment vendors.

• Experience in actively contributing to the development or scaling of a new function or capability within a CRO or biopharma environment is preferred.

• Experience in creating recruitment strategies for single virtual site/DCT trials is preferred.
