Advanced Specialist, Legal Counsel – Contract Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation, examination, and negotiation of a diverse array of agreements, which include:

• Client contracts

• Supplier agreements

• Software and technology contracts

• Ensure all agreements comply with legal and regulatory standards while proactively identifying and minimizing risks

• Collaborate with internal teams to collect essential inputs and assist in the drafting of legal documents

• Monitor business operations to ensure continuous compliance with contractual and legal requirements

• Adapt current legal developments to meet changing business needs and contract frameworks

• Serve as a reliable advisor to internal stakeholders and senior legal management

• Manage relationships with external counsel, clients, vendors, and other third parties

• Communicate effectively and clearly during negotiations and legal discussions

• Support legal research efforts and contribute to initiatives in emerging legal fields

• Maintain, organize, and enhance legal templates, agreements, and documentation processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk evaluation within a commercial setting

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders across various functions

• Experience with technology-related agreements, including software and licensing contracts

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment

• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration, working alongside legal, business, and operational teams

• Comprehensive understanding of legal compliance and corporate legal policies

• Experience in managing vendor, client, and third-party contractual relationships

• Familiarity with government contracting processes is a plus

• Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred, or equivalent experience in contract management or legal support

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including formatting legal documents

• Experience in reviewing contracts, statements of work (SOWs), amendments, and legal correspondence
