This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Provide support for significant commercial decisions by utilizing financial modeling, pricing strategies, and deal optimization.

• Collaborate closely with the Deal Desk, Finance team, and various cross-functional stakeholders.

• Take ownership of financial models, assist in pricing strategies, and facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.

• Serve as the analytical foundation for the Deal Desk function.

• Construct, assess, and maintain comprehensive financial models that support new business ventures, contract renewals, and intricate commercial deal frameworks.

• Analyze critical performance indicators such as margin, revenue per student, pricing frameworks, and cost structures to evaluate overall financial viability.

• Oversee deals throughout their entire lifecycle, coordinating inputs, rigorously testing assumptions, and ensuring timely progress through approval phases.

• Develop and model pricing scenarios for both new and existing offerings.

• Collaborate with Deal Desk leadership to create and refine product-level costing frameworks and margin structures.

• Provide continuous reporting and insights related to pricing performance, deal results, profitability trends, and essential financial drivers.

• Assess ad-hoc pricing requests and assist with non-standard or complex commercial arrangements.

• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the scalability, governance, and operational efficiency of the Deal Desk.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of deal-related inputs and outputs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• 3 to 6+ years of relevant professional experience, with exposure to pricing, deal desk, or commercial finance settings.

• Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to independently develop and maintain models in Excel.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

• Strong analytical and commercial orientation, with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, and Operations.

• Ability to convert complex financial data into clear, structured insights and recommendations.

• Experience handling large or complex datasets and structuring models for ongoing analysis.

• Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Alteryx, or other data visualization/workflow software is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
