Advanced Back-End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Macedonia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement Backend components that include APIs, serverless functions, distributed services, queue systems, data storage services, and more.

• Contribute to architectural trade-off decisions at both the system and application levels, considering performance requirements and external constraints.

• Assist in implementing security and data protection best practices across all systems.

• Elevate quality standards by maintaining effective test suites and producing clean code along with thorough documentation.

• Collaborate with your technical leads and clients to gather requirements, align expectations, and provide updates on deliverables.

• Report directly to a Backend Lead.

• Stay informed about industry trends to integrate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects.

• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other teams (Machine Learning, Data Engineering, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of Backend solutions.

• Assume full responsibility for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes and results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Backend development.

• Proficient in Python or NodeJs (Typescript).

• Strong foundation in Computer Science.

• Familiarity with API/Web communication protocols (openapi, grpc, etc.).

• Understanding of concurrency concepts in APIs/Web.

• Knowledge of cloud services and their landscape.

• Comprehension of both traditional and serverless architectures.

• Ability to work container-first.

• Excellent command of English: As a global team, all meetings, customer calls, and business communications are conducted in English.

• CV must be written in English.
