Advanced Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Territory Manager, channel partners, and end users to create Audio, Video, and Control solutions.

• Lead field training programs, develop and deliver advanced training curricula, and conduct high-level seminars.

• Execute onsite programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting for Q-SYS professional services.

• Represent Q-SYS at trade shows and present on technical subjects.

• Influence product development by documenting use cases and customer requirements.

• Convey product issues and customer needs to various internal teams.

• Mentor other Systems Application Engineers and act as a subject matter expert.

• Aid in the creation and programming of technology demonstrations for trade shows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a technical or engineering field or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in the professional audio-visual and control industry.

• Ability to present technical information in diverse environments.

• Proficient in computer technologies, networked audio, video and control systems, DSP technology, and scripting languages such as LUA.

• Preferred certifications include third-party control integration (Extron, Crestron, AMX), CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, and IT certifications (CCNA, CCDA, Network+).
