Admissions Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide consultation and guidance to prospective students to identify their goals and suggest appropriate solutions.

• Create and execute action plans that align with students' enrollment objectives.

• Conduct follow-ups with potential students through phone calls, emails, or other electronic communication methods.

• Make admissions decisions based on the fulfillment of admission criteria.

• Safeguard the privacy of student accounts in compliance with federal student privacy legislation (FERPA).

• Assess academic records and documents for admissions into APUS programs.

• Address both routine and complex concerns for prospective students.

• Foster productive relationships with departments such as Financial Aid, Fulfillment, Veteran and GI Bill assistance, Student Services, and Marketing.

• Achieve or surpass departmental performance targets and metrics.

• Implement student recruitment and enrollment campaigns and follow-up strategies.

• Support special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by departmental leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in telemarketing, sales, service, online, or higher education.

• An Associate's Degree is required.

• Capability to consult and advise prospective students on degree planning, payment options, transfer credits, and enrollment choices.

• Proficient in evaluating academic records and documents for admissions purposes.

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other admissions software applications.

• Adherence to federal student privacy regulations (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act).

• Ability to professionally address both routine and escalated student issues.

• Competence in meeting established performance goals and metrics.

• Commitment to maintaining the assigned work schedule.
