This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Engage in the administration, governance, and data architecture of the organization, ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of databases in critical environments.
• Support development and business teams in making decisions based on qualified data.
• Ensure adherence to architectural standards, best modeling practices, and version control.
• Contribute directly to the stability and evolution of corporate solutions.
• Plan, install, configure, and manage databases in critical settings.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Monitor, guide, and validate data modeling performed by the teams.
• Evaluate data models and propose improvements for architecture and performance.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of databases with large transaction volumes.
• Conduct query tuning using EXPLAIN and ANALYZE.
• Create, maintain, and optimize indexes (BTREE, GIN, BRIN).
• Manage and validate migration processes and schema versioning.
• Execute and manage backup and restore routines (pg_dump / pg_restore).
• Participate in defining the architecture of data solutions in strategic projects.
• Work on the integration between different systems and databases, ensuring interoperability.
• Provide technical support to internal teams in adopting best practices for database management and information governance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related fields.
• Postgraduate degree in IT or at least 6 certifications in the field or agile methodologies.
• Strong experience in database development and administration.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL in mission-critical environments.
• Experience with tuning, schema versioning, and administration of large transactional databases.
• Experience in planning, installing, configuring, and monitoring databases.
• Knowledge and experience with migration processes using Flyway and manual SQL scripts.
• Proficiency in versioning database scripts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
• Knowledge of integration between systems and databases.
• Experience in directly supporting Java development teams.
• Involvement in validation, review, and mentoring of SQL scripts and migrations.
• Experience in corporate environments with high criticality and large data volumes.
