This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations into bodily injury claims to assess coverage, liability, and damages.
• Collect relevant information, which includes statements from involved parties, medical records, police reports, and other essential documents.
• Evaluate the severity of bodily injuries and related medical treatments to determine suitable compensation.
• Review policy coverage and apply applicable laws and regulations to the claims process.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates on claim statuses and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Negotiate with claimants and attorneys to achieve fair and reasonable settlements within the established authority limits.
• Review settlement agreements and release forms thoroughly.
• Deliver excellent customer service to policyholders and claimants by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant insurance laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact bodily injury claims.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to all settlement demands.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, particularly with BI claims.
• An active Adjuster’s license is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and procedures is essential.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work independently while efficiently managing a caseload is required.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Windows-based applications, and internet navigation.
• Familiarity with Guidewire is preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable about forms, procedures, regulations, coverages, and claims processes.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and express opinions assertively is essential.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity and conciseness.
• Capability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple tasks and demands simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills to identify, collect, and organize information are necessary.
• Must be able to work independently in a collaborative team environment.
