Adjunct Instructor, Generative AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Deliver timely, meaningful, and constructive feedback to students.

• Track student progress and proactively provide assistance.

• Bring expertise in Artificial Intelligence and stay updated with current advancements in the field.

• Enhance student learning through innovative and effective teaching methodologies.

• Address students’ needs and maintain professional communication with the Calbright community.

• Utilize technology-driven teaching and communication platforms to facilitate competency development.

• Collaborate with university professionals to foster a positive, student-centered environment.

• Evaluate and validate student work based on mastery of industry-specific skills and knowledge.

• Promote engagement with peers, the instructor, and educational resources.

• Record student engagement, outreach, and interventions.

• Provide weekly office hours, web chats, or learning sessions.

• Communicate using university-designated systems and assigned email accounts.

• Comply with College policies and fulfill mandatory training requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Cognitive Science.

• Proven ability to engage with diverse populations.

• Ability to maintain a student-friendly schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience in mentoring, training, or teaching adults.

• Expertise in Artificial Intelligence while keeping current with developments in the field.

• Proven capacity to tailor instructional support for adults with various needs and educational backgrounds.

• Strong comprehension and advocacy of Calbright’s competency-based education model.

• Proficient in Google Suite (or similar) applications, virtual instructional platforms, and collaboration tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional customer service focus.

• Ability to leverage data for decision-making.

• Current industry-aligned certification(s) (preferred).

• Experience in online teaching (preferred).

• Interdisciplinary background (preferred).

• Experience applying social and emotional learning strategies with adult learners (preferred).
