This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Collaborate with Regional Chief Instructors to implement instruction aligned with the CSCDEP curriculum.
β’ Conduct graduate-level seminar discussions utilizing Socratic teaching techniques and adult learning principles.
β’ Guide seminar groups comprised of approximately 12 to 16 students.
β’ Provide mentorship to students, offering academic and professional support throughout the program.
β’ Assess seminar participation, written assignments, research papers, and other course requirements according to program standards.
β’ Deliver timely and constructive feedback to enhance student development and learning goals.
β’ Cultivate a professional learning atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, analysis, and intellectual conversations.
β’ Keep precise grading records, course documentation, and student performance metrics.
β’ Engage in faculty meetings, training events, and professional development activities as necessary.
β’ Successfully fulfill all required CDET faculty development and certification obligations.
β’ Ensure adherence to Marine Corps University academic standards and contractual obligations.
β’ Field Grade Officer (Major, Lieutenant Commander, equivalent rank, or higher) or civilian graduate of Intermediate Level School (ILS), Staff Academy Workshop (SAW), Tactical Level School (TLS), or a comparable professional military education program.
β’ Proven capability to facilitate graduate-level discussions and mentor adult learners.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Capacity to work independently and efficiently in a distributed learning setting.
β’ This position is contingent upon contract award.
