This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Instruct undergraduate courses as part of the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program in an online, asynchronous format.
• Enhance student learning through evidence-based teaching methods aligned with the CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).
• Create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive educational atmosphere that encourages student success.
• Assist students facing academic or personal difficulties by connecting them with appropriate college support services, such as advising, tutoring, accessibility services, and counseling.
• Maintain an active online presence in designated courses for at least four days each week.
• Oversee course discussions, offer timely and meaningful feedback on assignments, and respond to student questions within the established college timelines.
• Participate in faculty meetings, whether virtually or in person as appropriate, including the annual faculty meeting when requested.
• Engage in continual professional development activities.
• Exhibit cultural humility and effectively work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiently use Blackboard and other required instructional technologies.
• A Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
• At least two (2) years of professional social work practice experience post-degree.
• Prior experience in higher education teaching.
• Experience teaching in an online asynchronous learning environment, including familiarity with a learning management system such as Blackboard, Canvas, or a similar platform.
• Proven knowledge of generalist social work practice, the NASW Code of Ethics, and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).
• Demonstrated proficiency in using instructional technology, learning management systems, and common computer applications.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Capability to create an engaging, inclusive, and student-focused online learning environment.
