This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver thorough substance use disorder care through virtual consultations.
β’ Perform evaluations and diagnoses for substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
β’ Oversee medication management and prescribe as well as monitor Medication Assisted Treatment, including naltrexone and Suboxone.
β’ Address mild to moderate anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and other associated mental health issues.
β’ Utilize Pelagoβs Atlas AI-native EHR for documentation, evidence-based recommendations, and clinical preparation.
β’ Collaborate with counselors, coaches, member operations, clinical, growth, and product teams.
β’ Create personalized treatment plans and provide necessary referrals.
β’ Engage in case reviews, journal clubs, grand rounds, and peer evaluations.
β’ Ensure precise clinical documentation and support quality assurance and compliance efforts.
β’ Educate patients based on their individual needs, abilities, and recovery objectives.
β’ Assist in refining and implementing clinical protocols, treatment standards, and policies.
β’ Dedicate approximately 10 hours per week to patient support.
β’ Board-certified physician (MD or DO) in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another ABMS/AOA primary specialty.
β’ Candidates in Psychiatry must have substantial experience in SUD treatment; Addiction Psychiatry subspecialty is preferred.
β’ Candidates in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or other primary specialties need Addiction Medicine subspecialty certification (ABPM) or board eligibility.
β’ Must hold an active license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure is highly preferred.
β’ DEA registration or in the process of obtaining it.
β’ Current state-controlled substance license or in process.
β’ Willingness to acquire additional state licensure as required.
β’ Comfortable working within an AI-augmented care environment and adopting AI-assisted tools.
β’ Experience in telemedicine and a high level of comfort using digital platforms and EHRs.
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
β’ A passion for patient-centered care, innovation in addiction medicine, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
β’ No visa sponsorship is available.
β’ IMLC participation is preferred.
β’ Previous experience in digital health or telemedicine is advantageous.
β’ Pelago will provide sponsorship for additional state licensure as necessary.
β’ Part-time schedule of approximately 10 hours per week.
