Acute Care Psychiatrist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Providing care to multiple emergency rooms, hospital medical units, and psychiatric crisis programs to assess and manage patients in distress.

• Receiving continuous support during your shift from our 24/7 access center, which triages cases efficiently.

• Overseeing and/or delivering psychotherapeutic interventions and prescribing medications as necessary.

• Employing a collaborative care model with your partner’s healthcare treatment team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist.

• Possession of unrestricted, independent licensure.

• Updated and established profiles with CAQH and FCVS.

• Experience in providing psychiatric care across all age demographics.

• Ability to treat patients in acute crises and deliver stabilizing treatment in 24/7 environments.

• Skilled in communicating with patients from diverse backgrounds and offering culturally competent care.

• Experience in managing multiple EMRs simultaneously.

• Advanced technical skills, including familiarity with hardware (Laptop, camera, monitors), Windows operating systems, Microsoft software, and EMR applications.
