Actuarial Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the actuarial aspects of financial condition examinations for life insurance providers

• Acting as the main actuarial subject matter expert

• Assisting in all seven stages of the risk-focused examination process

• Organizing, directing, and executing the actuarial segment of a financial examination

• Crafting precise and thorough reports that include findings, conclusions, and actuarial recommendations

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or a related business discipline

• Over 10 years of actuarial experience in a life insurance company, financial services or consulting firm, or regulatory body in the United States

• Attainment of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation (or equivalent) and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries

• Extensive knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP), NAIC model regulations, and actuarial standards of practice (ASOPs)

• Strong communication abilities, both spoken and written.
