This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Independently executes routine actuarial and/or analytics tasks with minimal supervision.
• Offers quantitative assistance for product development, financial evaluation, management reporting, and additional actuarial and/or analytics research, following guidance.
• Extracts and consolidates data from various databases to analyze and create reports and spreadsheets.
• Capable of independently managing all facets of routine filing preparation where standard actuarial support is needed.
• Aids in the training and development of other actuarial and/or analytics personnel and may serve as a peer mentor.
• Evaluates pricing, reserving, or corporate profitability and capital management data.
• Analyzes company and industry experience as necessary.
• Designs and prepares special reports and other data compilations as requested.
• Understands and draws conclusions from the data collected.
• Engages with internal and external clients to discuss analysis outcomes.
• Analyzes, compiles, and conducts competitive assessments.
• Prepares preliminary recommendations under supervision.
• Prepares and presents actuarial and/or analytics findings to management and business partners.
• Provides support for routine inquiries from the insurance department.
• Monitors compliance with ISO, NCCI, State Rating Bureau filings, and SOX while recommending actions.
• Maintains pricing, reserving, or corporate capital management systems.
• Acts as a liaison between systems and the actuarial department.
• Prepares and maintains documentation for existing processes.
• Adheres to peer review standards.
• Undertakes other projects and assignments as instructed.

• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders through appropriate channels, including phone, email, teams, and in-person interactions as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Property/Casualty actuarial and/or analytics work
• Strong quantitative background
• Familiarity with Property/Casualty insurance rate-making and reserving concepts
• Proficient in desktop applications and software tools
