Actuarial Analyst – New York Property and Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Comprehend, modify, and utilize intricate spreadsheets and database tools to analyze data and resolve issues.

• Receive, reconcile, manipulate, and analyze data using programming languages such as R and SQL.

• Verify data for consistency.

• Create and implement actuarial models.

• Communicate findings to colleagues, project managers, and client relationship managers.

• Compose written reports and exhibits, as well as prepare other internal and external correspondence.

• Review their own and colleagues’ work for precision.

• Conduct research projects.

• Execute or assist with additional tasks assigned by Actuaries and Principals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed bachelor’s degree (at the time of application) in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics, or another quantitative discipline.

• Two or more actuarial exams successfully passed (at the time of application).

• Between one and four years of professional actuarial experience, which may include internship experience.

• Proficient technical skills in Excel.

• Experience in managing data and automating complex data manipulation tasks in R (preferred), SQL, SAS, or other programming languages.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for any immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.
