This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• In the role of Utilities Lead, you will serve as the main subject matter expert for all financial operations related to utilities, emphasizing precision, promptness, and process improvement.
• Account Management:
• o Set up and create new utility accounts with various utility providers across different regions.
• o Actively follow up with providers regarding any missing bills to avoid service disruptions.
• o Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or billing concerns.
• Financial Reporting & Month-End:
• o Enter correcting journal entries to maintain integrity in the general ledger.
• o Conduct monthly reconciliations of the utility deposit asset account.
• o Examine general ledger data to pinpoint missing expenses and record necessary accruals.
• Analysis & Problem Solving:
• o Review utility invoices for significant or unexpected cost variations, investigate the underlying causes, and correct any errors.
• o Detect data anomalies, research their root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Communication & Support:
• o Address internal and external inquiries promptly (within 24–48 hours).
• o Work collaboratively with the wider Accounts Payable team to assist in data reviews and corrections.
• o Provide support to the finance department for ad-hoc requests and special projects as required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Previous experience in multi-entity operations is essential.
• Proficiency in Sage or comparable mid-to-enterprise level accounting software is a notable advantage.
• Strong Excel capabilities (including vlookups, pivot tables, and data formatting).
