Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of invoices.

• Collaborate with various departments concerning payments.

• Communicate with vendors effectively.

• Experience in vendor onboarding processes.

• Familiarity with W-9 and W-8BEN forms.

• Acceptable banking support and credentials.

• Knowledge of 1099 forms.

• Enter invoices into the general ledger accounting system.

• Build strong relationships across departments and business units.

• Ensure that all approved invoices are prioritized and paid according to cash discount opportunities.

• Understand the vendors utilized by the company.

• Process Electronic Funds Transfer requests.

• Match invoices with payment requests.

• Reconcile vendor statements effectively.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and files.

• Develop and manage accounts payable aging reports.

• Audit employee expense reports carefully.

• Comprehend the application of payments to invoices.

• Interface with management across different departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including both verbal and written communication.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion is an advantage.

• A strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

• High level of organizational skills is essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional office setting.

• Familiarity with managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Experience with international transactions and foreign exchange is a plus.

• Strong follow-up skills along with the ability to take initiative and think creatively.

• A collaborative team player.

• Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.

• Exposure to and experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is advantageous.
