Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Process vendor invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure payments are made promptly.

• Create and dispatch customer invoices for completed projects and services rendered.

• Oversee accounts receivable and follow up with homeowners regarding outstanding balances.

• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts to maintain accuracy.

• Keep financial records organized, precise, and up-to-date.

• Assist in month-end closing tasks, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Aid in cash flow management by monitoring incoming payments and outgoing expenses.

• Ensure transactions are correctly coded within the accounting system.

• Identify areas for enhancing AP/AR processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

• Assist during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and customers to resolve any billing issues.

• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to guarantee precise job costing and billing.

• Support the implementation and enhancement of accounting tools and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or comparable systems).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with vendors, customers, and team members.

• Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.

• Experience in construction, roofing, or home services is advantageous but not mandatory.
