This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily operations of the global accounts payable team and its systems.
• Supervise the everyday tasks of the global team, which includes reviewing queues, assigning tickets, establishing shifts and schedules, ensuring adequate coverage, managing and prioritizing workloads, training team members on practices and procedures, assessing performance, and coaching, motivating, and disciplining employees as necessary.
• Guarantee prompt payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers while maintaining precise records in accordance with corporate, government, contractual, and legal requirements.
• Manage month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
• Supervise the employee expense reimbursement process.
• Generate reports and summaries following company Standard Operating Procedures and various legal guidelines.
• Aid in the determination of suitable processes, policies, and/or procedures.
• Uphold internal controls to ensure consistent processing of accounts payable checks and/or vouchers.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and review monthly budget comparisons.
• Provide support and information to management when responding to corporate, regulatory agencies, and other external entities that require accounts payable data.
• Interpret company policies and governmental regulations impacting accounts payable procedures.
• Suggest new policies or amendments to existing accounts payable policies and procedures regarding the Accounts Payable system.
• Supervisory responsibilities include making strong recommendations on employment decisions (hiring/termination/salary adjustments), assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, resolving issues, and consistently communicating necessary information.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of relevant experience may be substituted for one year of a degree.
• Typically, eight (8) years of experience in Business Administration.
• Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• US Citizenship is required.
