Accounting Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Assist in the month-end and year-end accounting close processes as well as financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.

• Oversee accounting team members by delegating tasks, reviewing their output, and offering guidance on complex matters.

• Utilize technical accounting skills to assess new transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP.

• Generate financial reports along with other specialized management reports.

• Ensure adherence to US GAAP and organizational policies.

• Identify process deficiencies and implement enhancements to controls.

• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams including Treasury, Operations, and IT.

• Liaise with auditors and manage the deliverables associated with audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting / Intermediate Chartered Accountancy (Inter-CA).

• 5 to 10 years of accounting experience.

• Experience in banking, real estate, or any service-oriented business based in the USA.

• Strong and timely communication skills.

• Ability to take full ownership and responsibility.

• Excellent leadership qualities.

• Capability to work effectively in a team and foster collaboration.

• Proficiency in Sage, Advanced Excel, Power BI, US GAAP, and Financial Reporting.
