Accounting Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Oversee, guide, and enhance the accounting team, ensuring effective workflow, organizational structure, and professional growth.

• Foster ongoing improvement efforts within the accounting division.

• Introduce new accounting procedures, technologies, and tools as necessary.

• Manage the month-end closing process and provide expertise on complex accounting inquiries.

• Ensure adherence to local GAAP standards, oversee audits, and prepare financial statements.

• Assist with VAT reporting, tax compliance, and the preparation of income tax returns.

• Serve as the primary liaison for various departments and external stakeholders (such as tax consultants and auditors) regarding accounting issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including leadership positions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

• Strong business insight, with the ability to understand the organization’s operations by connecting the responsibilities and contributions of all departments.

• Proficiency in both English and Lithuanian is essential (both written and spoken).

• Skilled in accounting processes, audit preparation, and financial statement creation.

• Excellent proficiency in MS Office.

• Outstanding time management, task ownership, and prioritization abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

• High level of integrity and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience in the technology sector (start-up) or e-commerce industry is advantageous.
