• Prepare and review journal entries on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheets and address discrepancies.
• Analyze financial variances in balance sheet and P&L accounts, providing clear explanations.
• Assist in the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare accruals and scrutinize financial datasets to support accounting functions.
• Facilitate intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP, internal policies, and audit standards.
• Aid in internal and external audits and prepare financial reporting schedules.
• Identify process deficiencies and suggest enhancements to accounting workflows and system utilization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in dealership accounting, F&I, and sales system processes.
• Provide both functional and technical support for applications related to accounting, F&I, and sales.
• Address system setup, configuration, and user issues across financial and operational modules.
• Manage and resolve support cases via CRM systems, ensuring meticulous documentation and follow-up.
• Escalate intricate technical or system challenges and collaborate with internal teams for resolution.
• Assist with reporting requirements by creating or advising on financial reports and dashboards.
• Offer guidance on best practices for systems, regulatory compliance, and dealership workflows.
• Keep up-to-date with product and industry knowledge in dealership accounting, F&I, and sales operations.
• Support flexible working hours during close cycles and high operational demand periods.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting is required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience in dealership accounting, F&I, or automotive sales operations is highly preferred.
• Experience in supporting financial systems, ERP platforms, or dealership management systems is essential.
• Strong grasp of finance and lease calculations, taxes, and related accounting treatments.
• Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to effectively troubleshoot system and process issues.
• Experience working in fast-paced and cross-functional environments.
• Detail-oriented with strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
