Accounting Specialist, Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in the accounting and finance functions of Mercy For Animals by providing support for general ledger and month-end closing activities.

• Oversee and process accounts payable (primarily interfacing with English-speaking vendors), accounts receivable, and team member expenses through our established financial systems.

• Aid the Finance team with ongoing account reconciliations and financial analyses.

• Act as the primary contact for Finance-related inquiries from team members and external parties, including managing internal Finance intranet pages and the Finance inbox.

• Enter journal entries and perform balance sheet account reconciliations to facilitate month-end closing.

• Clarify variations in account activity.

• Support internal controls and enhance processes to reduce risk and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.

• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

• Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.

• Familiarity with general accounting principles.
