Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Facilitate and aid in the compilation of financial data and analytics used for the Annual Report and SEC 10Q and 10K submissions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels to identify ways to generate business value through analytics, process automation, data visualization, and statistical analysis.

• Support the development of dashboard solutions to assist other departments, managers, and executives in making informed strategic and tactical business decisions.

• Consolidate quarterly and annual schedules and conduct the necessary analysis for financial statement disclosures, including revenue disclosures.

• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statement accounts by analyzing balances, investigating variations, and ensuring precise reporting.

• Deliver value-added reporting and insights to management, including ad hoc analysis to address management inquiries.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Analytics teams to optimize resources, align initiatives, and avoid redundancy across the organization.

• Generate ad hoc reports and assist with special projects, including the implementation of digital technologies (analytics process automation, data visualization, and statistical analysis) to enhance efficiency and transparency.

• Utilize industry and functional knowledge to pinpoint business drivers and challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

• Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.

• Proven ability to assess financial reports for accuracy and reasonableness.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Previous public accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.

• Familiarity with percentage of completion accounting.

• Prior experience and understanding of revenue recognition accounting methods.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to engage cross-functionally and at all organizational levels.

• Competence in financial models, data analytics, and presentation skills.

• Experience with Digital Finance tools (Alteryx, Python, PowerPlatform).
