Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Full accountability for overseeing financial accounting in the domains of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.

• Examination, coding, and posting of incoming invoices.

• Preparation of payment cycles and recording of bank transactions.

• Management and enhancement of dunning processes along with active receivables management.

• Involvement in the preparation of VAT returns.

• Assistance with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

• Active engagement in optimizing and advancing our finance processes and internal workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training (for example, tax clerk or industrial clerk) or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of professional experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles with a solid numerical aptitude and comprehension of accounting processes.

• Proficient use of ERP/accounting systems and the MS Office suite (particularly Excel).

• Fluent in German and possess very good English skills for collaboration with both national and international teams.

• Additional training as a certified financial accountant or certified balance-sheet accountant (Finanzbuchhalter/Bilanzbuchhalter) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Analytical mindset, strong numerical affinity, and a structured, independent approach to work.

• Initiative, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to contribute actively.
