Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Lead intricate accounting functions, encompassing essential reconciliations, estimations, and technical assessments.

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, guaranteeing precision and punctuality.

• Review and validate the work completed by team members (as applicable).

• Serve as a primary contact for accounting matters across various regions and entities.

• Prepare and scrutinize financial statements with an emphasis on accuracy and valuable insights.

• Support and guide audit processes, engaging directly with auditors.

• Identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Propel automation, efficiency, and standardization projects.

• Ensure adherence to IFRS and local regulations.

• Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations teams.

• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 5–8+ years of experience in accounting positions.

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS required).

• Experience in multinational settings.

• Solid background in audits and experience with complex accounting subjects.

• Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• High degree of ownership and accountability.

• Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders effectively.

• Excellent communication skills.
